In the U.K., in order for people to return to work, they must take what is called a lateral flow test. Both tests work the same way, but one delivers results faster and is required for international travel. These are available for free through government-funded health centers. Quitting smoking: Six ways to Resist Tobacco Cravings

Quitting smoking can be an exceedingly difficult undertaking. Many people will attempt to quit each year only to wind up smoking again. Here are some tips for resisting tobacco cravings while you’re trying to quit:

    • Nicotine replacement therapy: There are over the counter nicotine patches available to help with your tobacco cravings. They also come in gums and lozenges. Prescriptions also exist, such as Chantix and Zyban, that can greatly aid in curbing tobacco cravings.

Why the Flu Shot is Especially Important for Kids and Seniors?

The flu is a serious illness. Whilst some folks confuse the common cold with the flu, the flu is much more severe and even life-threatening, particularly for young children and the elderly. Whilst everyone is advised to get a flu shot every year, the need is especially high among children and older generations. Flu-related complications occur most frequently in those under 5 and in the elderly, and getting a shot helps reduce community transmission rates of the flu and generally keeps everyone safe. Being vaccinated against the flu significantly reduces your chance of illness or death.

    Is the flu vaccine safe?
Flu vaccines are safe and effective. Countless studies have demonstrated the effectiveness and safety of flu vaccines. While there are some mild side effects in some people (such as soreness, fever, headache, and nausea), most people will not experience any side effects.

Sexual Health And Aging: Keep The Passion Alive

Intimacy is timeless. Contrary to popular views on sexuality, older folks can and do engage in sex regularly. Seniors can enjoy a healthy and satisfying sexual life as much as younger people can. Here are a few tips for maintaining a healthy and active sex life as you age.

    Generally
There are a few common problems that the elderly face that can affect their sex lives. Physical changes, in particular, can interfere with healthy sex life. Some people begin to experience pain as they age. Common pain medicines can help, but they sometimes interfere with sexual health. Discuss this with your doctor. Exercise will help with your general physical health and can make sex more enjoyable. Other lifestyle changes, such as cutting back on smoking and alcohol consumption, can improve your sexual experiences. A notable problem for older folks is STIs, sexually transmitted illnesses. The elderly tend to underestimate their risks for STIs, and thus the transmission and infection

Managing your weight after age 50 is a struggle for many people, and for a variety of reasons. • Exercise more: Getting out and being active is also a key component to weight loss after 50. Strength training in particular can help you lose weight. Try and get a partner to go with you when exercising, as it makes it more enjoyable, and having someo
